Mr. Lazo Ostojić, CEO of the Belgrade Stock Exchange, participated in a conference marking the 25th anniversary of the Banja Luka Stock Exchange, held at Banski Dvor in Banja Luka.
The anniversary conference brought together representatives of regional stock exchanges, financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and the wider professional community to exchange views on the current state, challenges, and future prospects of capital market development in the region.
As part of the panel discussion “Regional Market Updates”, the Director of the Belgrade Stock Exchange joined representatives of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, Zagreb Stock Exchange, and Macedonian Stock Exchange to discuss developments across regional capital markets, the initiatives undertaken by their exchanges in recent years, and the common challenges facing markets throughout the region.
The panel highlighted the importance of regional cooperation, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action in strengthening market liquidity, enhancing the investment environment, and increasing the role of capital markets in financing economic growth.
